Parisian producer and keyboardist Tanguy Destable, aka Tepr, a former member of French electro-pop outfit Yelle, gets back to his solo career with a new EP called “Hypnotease”, which marks his debut release on Yuksek’s Partyfine imprint. Consisting of six new tracks, the effort finds Tepr still flirting with the limits of club music and pop songs, ghetto vibe and emo melodies. Our first taste from that forthcoming EP comes in the form of the title track, a well-crated house tune with Destable’s own vocals. Give it a spin or two above.

The “Hypnotease” EP will arrive on May 15th via Partyfine. Pre-order here.

Freshly signed to Yuksek’s ever-growing Partyfine label, Parisian producer and multi-instrumentalist Jean Tonique just dropped his second EP, called “You”, and it’s a winner. Consisting of seven original tracks, the effort showcases his ability for crafting feel-good, disco-infused gems with strong french house influences, plenty of funky vibes and an organic feel. It features guest appearances from Iris, Gion Arto, and Jessie Chaton. It’s a superb EP that bring us closer to summer. Needless to say, the fantastic, piano-driven tune “My Love/Your Soul” is already on repeat mode on our car stereo.

“Some tracks have been produced more than two years ago and some others only a few months ago. I think you can feel it in the eclecticism of the songs. The idea was to create an EP with a recognizable touch without being too linear. “You” reflects the music I like to listen and produce pretty well”, says Jean Tonique.

The “You” EP is out now digitally via Partyfine. Get it here.

We introduced you to Clarens the project of Senegal-born, France-raised musician and producer Ousseynou Cissé, back in May, sharing his brilliant debut single “Trust”, a “song about lost friendships”, which was also included on Yuksek’s label Partyfine first anniversary compilation. Now, Clarens, who also plays bass for Parisian duo Juveniles, returns to Partyfine with his second single “Pray”, another finely crafted tune with a serious R&B feel to it. The track was produced by Yuksek and Jean-Sylvain Le Gouic (of Juveniles).

“When I arrived in Rennes I was determined to become a musician by any means, not only because it is music that makes me feel alive, but also because music is the only thing I can do properly. I wrote this song as a prayer towards anyone who could help me become the person I am today-I didn’t know at the time that my wish would be fulfilled that fast,” says Clarens. Give “Pray” a spin or two above, and revisit the video for “Trust” here.

Clarens’ new single “Pray” will arrive on November 24th via Partyfine.
