Kllo: “Walls To Build” Video

Back in June, Melbourne’s Kllo, the duo of cousins Simon Lam and Chloe Kaul, dropped their superb single “Walls To Build”, and today it receives a beautiful visual accompaniment. Speaking about the clip, Kllo says, “the clip was filmed on a range of cameras and edited by our good friend Hamish Mitchell. ‘Walls to Build’ brings influence from a lot of different places and we wanted the varying fidelities in the video to reflect how the ideas came together.” The track “Walls To Build” will appear on the pair’s sophomore EP “Well Worn”, which drops on August 5 via Ghostly/Different Recordings. Following a string of acclaimed releases, Mexico-based British producer Geoff Kirkwood, aka Man Power, has returned with his third EP of year, called “‘The Tourist”, which marks his first 12” for Lovefingers’ ESP Institute label. Now, the EPs title track, a summertime mind-melter, has a video to go along with it, which was produced by Pauly Barton and Lewis Bonner. Portable: “Say It’s Going To Change” Video

Berlin-based South African producer Alan Abrahams, aka Portable, has shared a new video for “Say It’s Going To Change”, the first single from his “Alan Abrahams” LP. The self-directed video was shot on the Spanish island of Lanzarote using sign language to help convey the song’s message. “I wanted to bring across my message without actually saying it with words,” says Abrahams,” so I tracked down a sign language coach , and she coached me to sign the lyrics.”

Jagwar Ma: “OB1”

Sydney’s Jagwar Ma, the psych-dance duo of multi-instrumentalist and producer Jono Ma, singer and guitarist Gabriel Winterfield, make a welcome return with their new single “OB1”, which features Warpaint’s Stella Mozgawa on drums. Mixed by long term studio collaborator Ewan Pearson, “OB1” is the first taster from the group’s second album titled “Every Now & Then”, the follow-up to their excellent 2013 debut “Howlin'” LP. The single arrives with an accompanying video, pieced together by the band’s Jono Ma and featuring visuals from Hans Lo, responsible for their kaleidoscopic stage visuals. The album “Every Now & Then” will arrive this fall via Marathon Artists/Mom + Pop/Future Classic.

Metronomy: “Night Owl” Video

Fresh off the release of their fifth album “Summer 08”, Metronomy have shared the accompanying video to “Night Owl”, one of the record’s standout cuts. Filmed in the Palm Desert in Palm Springs, the surreal video was directed by French electronic musician and film director Quentin Dupieux, better known by his stage name Mr. Oizo. It follows the band’s mastermind Joseph Mount and his girlfriend, played by cult film director Zoe Cassavetes, on a bizarre road trip.

Midnight To Monaco, the duo of Canadian singer Ricky Ducati and LA songwriter/producer Donnie Sloan, who has also worked with Empire Of The Sun, have shared their first ever music video for their fantastic single “One In A Million”. The cinematic video follows the story of Midnight To Monaco’s Ricky Ducati as a failed acting icon facing the stark reality of Tinsletown. The track “One In A Million” will appear on the pair’s forthcoming debut EP on Island Records/Future Classic.

Jamie xx: “Gosh” Video

London’s Jamie xx has shared an incredible new video for his track “Gosh”, which was directed by none other than Romain Gavras, the man responsible for M.I.A’s “Born Free” and “Bad Girls” and Justice’s “Stress”, among others. The brilliantly shot video takes place in the city of Tianducheng in eastern China, a ghost town which is a replica of Paris. Featuring a 400-person cast, the clip was shot without CGI or 3D effects. The track “Gosh” is taken from Jamie xx’s debut solo album “In Colour”, released last year on Young Turks.
