Running Back head honcho Gerd Janson, who also operates as one half of Tuff City Kids alongside Lauer, takes us on yet another long ride with the second edition of his “Musik For Autobahns” compilation series for Rush Hour. It’s a “fresh and exclusive collection of music that hopefully sounds as great in a car as it will in the comfort zone of your own living-room or during dusk and dawn in your favorite club environment,” says Gerd Janson. Check out the tracklist below, and preview the whole thing above.

Three years have passed since Frankfurt-based DJ/producer/musician Lauer, released “Phillips”, his excellent debut solo album on Running Back. Now, Lauer, also known as one half of Arto Mwambe and Tuff City Kids alongside Running Back boss Gerd Janson, has finally shared details of a follow-up, “Borndom”, which will arrive in May through Permanent Vacation. The 13-track record is said to be “rooted in pop music and mixed with the reactance and sound aesthetics of punk.” Our first taste from that forthcoming record comes in the form of “ESC”, an ’80s new wave-infused track featuring vocals from Jasnau.

London-based producer and vocalist Ali Love certainly knows how to keep himself busy. Besides being a member of both Hot Natured and Infinity Ink, he also continues to produce his own quality material. Following the release of his single “Emperor”, featuring Kali on vocals, back in March, Ali Love returns with his infectious new single “Another”, which pumps a “four-to-the-floor beat with glitchy percussion and distinctive psychedelic vocals.”
“Another” is the first proper taste of his upcoming solo album, the follow up to 2010’s “Love Harder”, which will be released early next year via Crosstown Rebels. The single will arrive on vinyl on October 14th and comes complete with remixes by the likes of Tuff City Kids, aka Gerd Janson and Lauer, and Felix Da Housecat.
Update: Here’s the video for “Another”, directed by Craig Murray.

German producer, musician and DJ Phillip Lauer has done it once again. This time round, he delivers a classy remix for fellow young electronic producer Yannick Hofmann, aka YNK, superb tune “The Joint” for Polytone Recordings.
It’s a great remix filled with sunny vibes and a euphoric summer feeling. That’s the way we like it. This piano-house-flavored rework will surely get lots of playtime this summer. Give it a spin above, and make sure to check out the original version below.
