Van She’s amazing bassist/keyboardist Michael Di Francesco make a welcome return with his solo project Touch Sensitive. Under that moniker he dropped his perfect debut single “Body Stop” all the way back in 2004 and it was one of the first tracks released on the ever-excellent Future Classic. Now, he’s back for more goodness!
Following last year’s massive tune “Real Talk”, his collaboration with Sydney’s DJ/producer AAnna Lunoce, Touch Sensitive just released his solid debut EP “Pizza Guy” that has been on repeat in our car stereo for a while now. The EP consists of two original tracks, “Pizza Guy” and “Show Me”, and a fine remix of the title track by German producer Lauer. Below, you can stream the track “Show Me” full of smooth and warm vibes.

After seven years with DFA Records, Justin Miller has decided to launch his own label, HAKT Recordings, named after his “Have A Killer Time” parties in New York. The label will kick off with with a new EP from New Orleans-based house producer and DJ Walter Jones, who you may remember from his excellent EP “I’ll Keep On Loving You”, released on DFA in 2009. Entitled “Utopiano Project”, Walter Jones’ EP features three original tracks, “Talk To Me”, “Made In Holland”, “Hands In The Sand”, along with a remix by the mighty German producer Lauer. It’s a great EP from start to finish. Preview the whole thing here, and stream Lauer’s remix of “Hands In The Sand” above. Perfect!
Walter Jones’ “Utopiano Project” EP is out on vinyl on November 30th.

Another excellent release from Phillip Lauer on Gerd Janson’s Running Back label. Following his solid debut LP “Phillips”, which was released back in April, Lauer just dropped a brand new EP, which features two fine reworks of his track “Tentatious” by New York’s Jacques Renault and Marcos Cabral, aka Runaway, and I:Cube. The release also includes the hidden album track “Boringtone”, his very own secret ode to the Café del Mar, and an exclusive track called “Highdimes”. You can now stream the track above. Brilliant!

Dresden’s Jacob Korn and Leipzig’s Good Guy Mikesh & Filburt join forces as J.M.F. and drop a new 12” on Permanent Vacation. The release consists of two original tracks, “Philipp Dolphia” and “At the Ranch”, as well as a remix by Lauer, who just released his solid debut LP “Phillips” on Running Back. You can now stream the lead cut from the release, “Philipp Dolphia”, a slice of balearic heaven. Out on June 15th.
