Fresh off the release of his debut EP “Subtropique” for Rhythm Section, French-Ecuadorian artist Nicola Cruz is already back with a stellar remix package of tracks from his “Hybridism”, released last year via Multi Culti.
With the “Hybridism” EP, the mighty Ecuadorian producer presented a modern exotica of North African rhythms, ethereal Persian melodies, and chants from distant and imagined cultures. Now, the sonic melting pot of “Hybridism” reinterpreted by the likes of Spanish house master John Talabot, Highlife founder Auntie Flo, rising Tunisian producer Azu Tiwaline and the host label team of Multi Culti. The digital version also includes a bonus mix from Argentina’s Uji.
Leading things off, the Hivern Discs boss John Talabot is a dream pairing for Nicola Cruz, delivering a deeply atmospheric but powerfully rhythmic club version of “Naeku”. Blast it below.
