Melbourne’s Cut Copy are finally back with their new single “Love Is All We Share”, a perfectly crafted tune of lush synths sounds. The track marks the band’s first new music in almost three years since the release of their incredible 2017 fifth album “Haiku From Zero”.

Speaking about the track, Dan Whitford says: “‘Love Is All We Share’ is a song we made using only a handful of sounds, hoping to create an intimate and unworldly atmosphere. It was written a year ago about the anxieties of imagined future times, as technology becomes more all-consuming. But in light of recent events the song took on an eerie significance. Now, with our immediate future uncertain and people the world over self isolating, ‘love’ more than ever, feels like one of the best things we can share.”

Directed by American contemporary artist Takeshi Murata, the accompanying video communicates the track’s themes through his work in hyper-realism and computer-simulated imagery, creating an entrancing space of interconnected digital sculptures. Watch it above.

“Love Is All We Share” is out now via Cutters Records/The Orchard. Get it here.

London’s Jamie xx has shared a video for his track “Idontknow”, his first solo artist release since his 2015 debut album “In Colour”. The video features Belfast dancer and choreographer Oona Doherty, who co-directed the film with Luca Truffarelli. The pair filmed the video in Belfast in March 2020, the night before Northern Ireland went into lockdown.

Without knowing the artist behind it, people have been raving to “Idontknow” since late autumn 2019 when Jamie first debuted the track. Since then, the track has taken on a life of its own in clubs and on dancefloors around the world, garnering huge support. “I made ‘Idontknow’ as an outlet for my frustration over not being able to finish any music for a while. I tried to be less precious with my ideas and just let go. I then watched this translate onto the dance floor when I started playing it out last year. Now, we can’t go out to dance and we need an outlet more than ever, I hope you dance to it at home and let go for a moment.”

The single “Idontknow” is out now via Young Turks. Buy it here.

Berlin’s Ombra International label will drop a new compilation, “International Waters Vol. 1”, curated and crafted by label founder Luca Venezia, also known as Curses. A year in the making, the 13-track “International Waters Vol. 1” compilation comprises deep, emotional, heavy and sexy dark wave sounds from exciting artists from every corner of the world.

The compilation ranging from the psychedelic rolling technoid stomps of Adame Princess to smouldering shoegazing cosmosis of Dame Bonnet and so many talented individuals in between: Borusiade, Mufti, Roe Deers, Montessori, Alejandro Paz & Local Suicide, and many more. It also comes with a personal handwritten message by Curses himself: “‘International Waters Vol.1’ is a compilation I have been building for over a year. Listening to it now, the messages in these songs feel more relevant than ever. You can feel the tension. Human unrest rising to a better tomorrow, to a better today within all of these songs. Ombra International is a label focused on bringing different artists from their respective countries together, and now more than ever is a crucial time to be united worldwide.”

Today, we’re psyched to premiere the compilation’s closer “Never Once Again”, a great new track by Romanian-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer Miruna Boruzescu, aka Borusiade. Known for her gloomy, powerful and often dark sound, Borusiade recently graced us with her excellent second LP “Fortunate Isolation” on the acclaimed label Dark Entries. On “Never Once Again”, the incredibly talented artist delivers a deep, dark, atmospheric track of ’80s synths and hauntingly beautiful vocals that’s one thrill of a ride! Blast it above.

After getting your fill of “Never Once Again”, make sure to check out a cool PSA video that Curses has put together for “International Waters Vol. 1” below.

The “International Waters Vol. 1” drops on May 1st via Ombra International.

The single “Face”, co-written once again with long-time musical partner Jeremy Greenspan of Junior Boys, was inspired by watching people’s faces on the New York subway. Divine Interface: “So Fine”

Atlanta-based Drew Briggs, aka Divine Interface, is the latest addition to the 2MR family. A fixture in Atlanta’s DJ scene by night and an employee of a sex furniture distributor by day, Briggs just dropped his first single for the label, the addictive late-night gem “So Fine”.

Though he’s spent the better part of his adult life in the local scene, Briggs only recently began recording under the name Divine Interface, chosen for the otherworldly sense of communion he felt when making and sharing music. It was under this moniker that he began using his own vocals on his tracks, and crafting the kind of dynamic party grooves that can only be made by someone who’s spent years attending them.

His last solo EP, 2017’s “Precious Cargo”, demonstrated his talent for making dance floor bangers and after-party hits alike. Three years later, he’s concocted a perfect fusion of the two: “So Fine” is a concentration of Precious Cargo’s best moments, with a dose of sentimentality that suggests more to come. Get your fill of “So fine” above, and watch the video for the track, directed by Randall Ruiz and Drew Briggs.

The single “So Fine” is out now via 2MR. Buy it here.

Lisbon-based producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Luis Clara Gomes, aka Moullinex, has returned with his new single “Luz”, featuring vocals from GPU Panic. Recorded in his home studio, “Luz” is a heavenly slice of melodic house. The track used as a soundtrack to a film project made by Moulinex with the help of graphic designer and illustrator Bráulio Amado and director Bruno Ferreira. Using only binoculars and an iPhone, the film was entirely shot from inside a car and captures performances from people living in social isolation, inside their windows, balconies or roofs. The film was shot in Lisbon during the first week of April.

Howling: “Bind” Video

Howling, the production duo of Berlin-based producer and Innervisions co-founder Frank Wiedemann (of Âme fame) and LA-based singer-songwriter Ry X (of The Acid), are back with their sophomore full-length album, entitled “Colure”, the sharper follow-up to their 2015’s debut LP “Sacred Ground”.

On the new 13-track record, Howling conjure transcendent creations out of their contrasting musical backgrounds and environments. The album is assuredly dualistic: electronic and acoustic sounds sit comfortably side-by-side, and big melodic hooks are laced into hypnotic club productions. The record’s first single, the introspective, bass-driven “Bind”, arrives with a video by Benton C Bainbridge. And if that’s not enough, you can watch a video for another new track off the album, the steady-built euphoric “Phases”, below.

The “Colure” LP drops on July 24th via Counter Records. Pre-order it here.
