It’s premiere time! Opilec Music’s next release is the I-Robots’ 2008 debut album remixed with a lineup of artists involved that would be hard to beat. I-Robots, aka “Gianluca Pandullo”, from Turin, Italy native eclectic DJ, producer, remixer, and A&R man has been active in the scene in one way or another since the early 80’s. He launched Opilec Music officially in the early 2008 and released L.O.R. CD album together with a vinyl series but also with a special single for Ornaments DE with the first remix by G. Digger of WordAndSound DE; thanks to Martin Müller (youAndme/Rotary Cocktail/Ornaments). From 2016 the L.O.R. tracks were remixed by an international team including the Italian electro living legend Alexander Robotnick. From 1983’s “Problèmes D’ Amour” till now, Maurizio Dami’s electrodisco anthems have shook down dancefloors all over the world and have inspired and influenced the so-called modern producers. In the hearts and minds of countless dancers over the years, Alexander Robotnick is the sound of European electronic music in the 1980s.

Today, we are psyched to premiere Alexander Robotnick’s killer remix of “Kind Of Intrigue”. The track creates a one of a kind gloomy robotic atmosphere with an impressive wide range of top synths, which is just Robotnick doing his magic once again. He merges arpeggiated electro bass lines with a vast variety of vintage 70’s sounds, while vocal samples make their appearance and the track sets you on a trail of a truly “intriguing” musical discovery. The remix evolves harmoniously from a classic electro tune to a melodic dance anthem. It feels like a flower blooming. Blast the great track above and enjoy the ride!

I-Robots’ album “Laws Of Robotics: 2020” is out now via Opilec Music. Get it here.

[Premiere] Bell Towers: “Juicy Blend (Jaakko Eino Kalevi Remix)”

In his eight years as an artist/producer — an output he self-describes as “file under 12”, intentionally laconic — Berlin-by-way-of-Melbourne Bell Towers has wriggled on various shades of house, 80s- influence pop and sample disco. No two of his 8 singles sound the same, but there’s a long-play LP on the way that’ll make these styles stick like your entry stamp to your wrist on a Monday morning.

Following up a stream of EPs for Public Possession, plus a host of remixes and collaborations, Bell Towers makes a welcome return with the first of a new batch of music, beginning with the irreverent single “Juicy Blend” – we’ve already featured the video here. The single is packaged as an EP featuring remixes by Bullion and Jaakko Eino Kalevi, plus an extended groove mix.

Today, we’re delighted to premiere a superb remix of the EPs title track from our beloved Finnish electronic musician Jaakko Eino Kalevi. Once again, Jaakko Eino Kalevi does an excellent job with his remix of “Juicy Blend, adding his signature touch. This is something special. Give it a spin above, exclusively on La.Ga.Sta.

The “Juicy Blen” EP drops on December 4th on Cascine and Public Possession, with the vinyl edition to follow on December 6th. Pre-order it here.

One of the most important things in music is personality. It’s that magical moment when you listen to a track and you know who the creator is; you sense who’s behind all these sounds. And that is among others Red Axes’ distinctive characteristic. And we couldn’t possibly expect less from our favorite label Dark Entries that crosses the finishing line of 2019 with a sublime release. A 4-track EP called “Voom” by the mighty Red Axes is on its way and we are more than excited. Straight from Tel Aviv the prolific production duo of Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi are loyal to their signature sound, whilst breathing –their one of a kind – fresh air to the electronic music scene. We all admire their weird sonic artefacts mixing post-punk, new-wave, Italo-disco, acid, EBM, which lead you directly to the dance floor. Their music is a fantastic blend of inspired moods.

Today, we’re psyched to premiere the EP’s last track, the 10-minute ecstatic anthem “Prblems”. The tune shouts out “Red Axes are here”. The track “Prblems” is tireless and it grows darker and more powerful as the minutes pass by. Militant drums, battered electronics and lovingly drowned traditional instruments hypnotically pulse and reverberate. It’s the perfect late-night or early-morning DJ’s selection that creates one of the most memorable moments of your time out. You close your eyes cause you feel to, you sense the tracks’ bewitching vibe and rhythm and you have a majestic stellar ride. Blast it above!

The “Voom” EP drops on December 6th via Dark Entries. Pre-order here.

We’re pretty sure that this is the first time that you hear about Any Gram. But we know that you already love him, as we do. UK disco specialist Ray Mang is back with a new eight-track LP, called “Dis Go In Ya Pipe”, presenting his fresh alias Any Gram;an anagram of his name. That’s the first release of Ray’s pop up imprint Keeps Going. As he says, “eight nuggets lovingly re-touched, tweaked, tucked and tailored for the floor”. It’s an intercontinental genre spanning ride through the tempos. We are “dealing” with an LP of edit excellence and Ray greatly breathes new life into moldy oldies, re-editing forgotten gems and loved classics from the disco era, developing his sound constantly. Gospel disco, SA boogie, kwaito, Balearic, dub and Fleetwood Mac, all together lead into a musical discovery and a new world opens up for the listeners (this is you riders). No need to say to talk about the exceptional quality of Ray’s releases.

Today, we’re psyched to premiere the record’s powerful opener “Open Bar”, a sublime seven-minute rework of a Betty Griffin’s track. It’s disco gospel at its best, full of energy and dancy vibes. Funk tasty guitars lead the way while the “sneaky” bass tickles you non stop. Betty’s both impressive and sweet vocals add much to the track’s awesomeness. It can’t get any groovier! Close your eyes when you listen and feel yourself magically whisked away to late 80’s. Blast the track above and enjoy the ride! A house party on a platter!

He’s much more than a terrific producer. He creates art full of miscellaneous emotions and his genuine music either speaks straight to your soul or takes you right to the dancefloor; or both. You all know him because he is one of the most acclaimed and versatile artist on the international music scene, and he’s one of our favourites. Dear riders, it’s Kasper Bjørke.

After a three year absence, the prolific Danish producer returns to hfn music with a majestic new double EP, entitled “Nothing Gold Can Stay”, returning to his signature leftfield danceable beats. The double EP explores both the analogue and organic side of his production work on Side-A, while Side-B reflects on sounds that he would play today, in one of his nightclub DJ sets.

Today, we’re so delighted to premiere A-Side’s second track “Seabird”, a fantastic cover version of Alessi Brothers’ 1975 classic “Seabird”. It’s a track that came about through Kasper’s friendship and musical synergy with DJ and vinyl digger Christian d’Or, who is lead crooning while Toby Ernest delivers his signature falsetto. You can sense the track’s fresh feeling, while at the same time it truly respects the delivery and the mood of the original song’s core. Kasper’s magical sound skills capture you from the very first seconds and the melody offers you a dreamy ride to the sky. The vocals are simply magnetic. “Listen lonely seabird, you’ve been away from land too long… Seabird, seabird, fly home”. Blast the track above and enjoy this heartfelt ride.
