Following a great year that saw Poolside release their superb debut album “Pacific Standard Time”, also included in our Best of 2012 list, the Los Angeles-based “daytime disco” duo has just shared a smooth cover version of Spike’s “Magic Table”. Another amazing track, which was featured on their latest “Seasons Change” mixtape. We’d expect nothing less from these guys.
In their own words: “This is a cover version of “Magic Table” by Spike. It was originally released in 1983, but was then re-released by Golf Channel Recordings in 2011. Our friend Ryan showed us the song cause it freaked him out that Spike’s voice sounds exactly like Filip’s voice. When we heard it we were blown away with the similarity and decided to do a cover just to see how similar the voices are (also cause it’s a damn good song).” It’s yours for free. Sit back and enjoy.

Here we go. It may be the first days of the New Year, but we’re still listening to our favorite albums, tracks, remixes and EPs of 2012. It was certainly an amazing year for us during which we started our radio show “OFF The Road”, we shared with you some exclusive La.Ga.Sta. mixes by Duke Dumont, Beni, Pharao Black Magic, and we dropped our free 14-track “Late Summer Compilation 2012″ with lots of fresh tunes, already downloaded by more than 20.000 vroomers!
