Poolside: “I Feel High” (feat. Ben Browning)

LA’s Poolside first album in three years is finally here, and it’s definitely worth the wait. Entitled “Low Season”, the eight-track record has been on repeat on our car stereo for a while now. The album, which follows 2017’s second LP “Heat”, marks the first Poolside album to be wholly helmed by producer/guitarist/DJ/vocalist Jeffrey Paradise.

Epic in aspiration yet intimate at its heart, the album is filled with sun-drenched synth pop, tidal rhythms, immersive electronics, tactile psychedelia, hazy house and pure daytime disco vibes. “‘Low Season’ is an album that is sonically and lyrically akin to traveling to someplace tropical then finding the beaches empty and the weather uncertain,” says Paradise.

Here, we have for you the track “I Feel High”, featuring Cut Copy’s Ben Browning on vocals, one of the record’s many highlights. Below, you can watch the video for the single “Around The Sun”, featuring shimmering vocals from Los Angeles-based psych outfit Amo Amo, which was directed by Bill Heffley.

The album “Low Season” is out now out on Pacific Standard Records. Buy it here.
