Munich-based DJ and producer duo Rhode & Brown, consisting of Friedrich Trede and Stephan Michael Braun, land on Permanent Vacation with their great new EP, entitled “Aku Aku”. Discovering their love for music separately at a young age, they joined forces in 2010. With some quality releases already under their belt on labels such as Toy Tonics, Public Possession, Let’s Play House or their own imprints Slam City Jams and RTB Records, they established themselves as an important part of the scene within the past years.

With “Aku Aku”, their first full EP on Permanent Vacation, Rhode & Brown show the full spectrum of their productions from mystical acid to atmospheric disco and uplifting house. The first edition of the Permanent Vacation compilation series in 2006 marked the starting point for the label, run by Tom Bioly and Benjamin Fröhlich. 200 releases later, the ever-excellent Munich renowned label have reached the sixth volume of the compilation. And they’re celebrate this one in style with 17 exclusive new tracks from 20 artists that are mostly new to the Permanent Vacation family.

All the tracks are carrying the musical essence and the overall spirit of the label from blissful Balearica, rhythm driven house and coloful disco to poweful Italo and lush electronica. After dropping a series of highly acclaimed EPs and tracks for such diverse labels as Gerd Janson’s Running Back, Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant, Prins Thomas’s Internasjonal, and also contributed a killer track “Temple Of Love” to LAGASTA’s “Last Gas Station” compilation, Mexican duo Zombies In Miami are gearing up for the release of their first album “2712” on Permanent Vacation. A great ride from start to finish, the nine-track record finds TB delivering new romantics, inspired by influences like The Cure’s “The Holy Hour“, Boards of Canada’s late ’90s electronica, Miami Vice tropic percussion and Angelo Badalamenti’s “Twin Peaks”. Acid drops, string distortions, lushed melody bits, hushed robo vox and washed space guitars are being layered and sprinkled over machine beats and disco drums. Benjamin Fröhlich: “Saturnia”

Permanent Vacation co-founder Benjamin Fröhlich, who has emerged as a producer of vibrant tracks that are testament to his versatile and compelling approach to club music, will drop his debut album, entitled “Amiata”, on May 10th on the label he runs with Tom Bioly.

The nine-track record is a conglomerate of Benjamin Fröhlich’s longstanding experience. Just like his DJ sets and work for Permanent Vacation, each of the album’s tracks expresses a different facet of his musical preferences. While keeping it under the roof of Benjamin’s specific sound, the tracks range from Dub hybrids to Italo, disco and boogie-inspired tracks, ’90s spacy breakbeats and electro to classic house. Here’s the album’s lead single “Saturnia” for your listening pleasure. It’s so damn good.
