Sound Support: “Stab By Stab”

Let’s take a ride with Sound Support, the exciting new project from synth wizard Lorenz Rhode and Detroit Swindle’s Lars Dale. Getting to know each other musically through Lorenz’s involvement in Detroit Swindle’s live shows, the superb “Stab By Stab” EP is the first result of them getting down to it in the studio.

Lorenz Rhode and Lars Dales’ mutual love for everything nerdy; programming, games but most of all dad jokes, has inexplicably led them to a point where they were spending more and more time together. This time gradually turned into some more “serious” studio sessions and the result was a staggering amount of material that soon found it’s way to several labels.

The “Stab By Stab” EP on Internasjonal marks the pair’s debut release as Sound Support and features three finely crafted original track and a marvelous remix of “Europe” by Norwegian space-disco master and label co-founder Prins Thomas. The title track is our favourite cut from the record. Expect nothing less than eight minutes of pure disco-infused euphoria laden with uplifting piano chords and delicate grooves. What a ride.
