The last time we heard from Bag Raiders, the Australian duo of Chris Stracey and Jack Glass, was early this year, when they dropped their superb “Checkmate” EP. Now, they’re back with their surprise new single “Beat Me To The Punch”, and it’s about as catchy as it gets.
On this track, Bag Raiders have teamed up with everyone’s favorite blue-eyed soul crooner Mayer Hawthorne to deliver a delicious electro-pop jam. It’s yet another taste from the pair’s long-awaited sophomore album, the follow-up to 2010’s self-titled debut LP, which is expected to drop early next year. The single “Beat Me To the Punch” is out now on Modular.
