A Track A Day: Joyce Muniz

A Track A Day:
Joyce Muniz

With the current circumstances and the weird, turbulent times all over the globe, we asked our friends to choose a favourite track or an album for these isolated days, and share it with us along with a photo. A track a day keeps the bad vibes away. Stay safe.

Next in line on our “A Track A Day” series is Berlin/Vienna-based, Brazilian DJ, vocalist and producer Joyce Muniz, who always delivers the goods. Our beloved producer shares with us one of her favourite records, Miss Kittin & The Hacker’s 2001 “First Album”, an electroclash classic.

In her own words: “I chose Miss Kittin & The Hacker’s ‘First Album’ from 2001 because it was my first contact with electro and is still to this day one of my most important references for my DJ sets and productions. Each track is special and timeless. Recently I played ‘You and Us’ for Pets Recording’s anniversary stream and realized how fresh and on point it sounds after decades of existing. The entire album is unique – It’s dark, sexy and fun.”
