A Track A Day: David Jackson

A Track A Day:
David Jackson

With the current circumstances and the weird, turbulent times all over the globe, we asked our friends to choose a favourite track or an album for these isolated days, and share it with us along with a photo. A track a day keeps the bad vibes away. Stay safe.

Next in line on our “A Track A Day” series is Germany-via-Ireland wunderkind David Jackson, who recently wowed us with his superb “Airport Disco” EP on Frank Music. Our beloved producer share with us a favourite record, Destroyer’s 2011 album “Kaputt”.

In his own words: “Picking one track was SO difficult! Since it appeared in a dream I had recently I decided to go with something that I often seem to circle back to during winter time: Destroyer’s ‘Kaputt’. The whole album has a lot of kitschy elements which may drive some people nuts but that’s kind of what I love about it. The warm guitars and soothing sax solos feel like a warm blanket that tucks you into bed so you can sleep until all of this madness is over. Love the music video too. Life is weird & beautiful!”
