Hamburg’s finest Marco Niemerski, aka Tensnake, recently dropped a vinyl-only single “58 BPM” on his newly-launched label True Romance. It’s a delicate slow-burner that features the rich vocals from Berlin-based singer Fiora.
The single’s b-side is an outstanding remix by Dublin-via-Berlin house producer Mano Le Tough , aka Niall Mannion, who wowed us with his excellent debut album “Changing Days” for Permanent Vacation. You can now stream the remix in all of its glory above.
“58 BPM” is the first taste from Tensnake’s long-awaited debut album due later this fall. The LP features guest appearances from the likes of Nile Rodgers, Stuart Price, and Jamie Lidell, among others. Pick up your 12” here.

Hamburg’s finest Tensnake delivered an amazing deep and funky essential mix for BBC Radio 1. This mix features new jams from Medlar and Martin Patino, as well as new tracks from his upcoming debut album, which will be out later in the year. As he says: “As ever, there is a certain sound and sensibility that I like in my music, but I also like the odd curveball, like opening with that really stunning track from Alice Coltrane called “Krishna”. I would say the first hour is super-deep and mellow and the second really kicks up a gear, so it’s a game of two halves.” Grab it below, and play it loud! Keep an eye out for his new single in May.
