Invisible Temple: “Twisted Roots”

Invisible Temple: “Twisted Roots”

A new project of Benjamin Fröhlich and Bostro Pesopeo.

The first release of 2021 on Permanent Vacation is a special one and comes from Invisible Temple, a new project from the label’s co-founder Benjamin Fröhlich and long-time label associate Florian Peter, aka Bostro Pesopeo.

On their first eight-track record “Self Hypnosis” as Invisible Temple, Benjamin Fröhlich and Bostro Pesopeo follow a different path at the crossroads of their musical interests. Together they explore a special part of their youth soundtrack, which consists of drum-heavy rhythms, dubby basslines and atmospheric soundscapes echoing the many different shapes of drum and bass-driven music. Heavily influenced by the Firehouse era of King Tubby, early Bill Laswell and Adrian Sherwood productions, Illbient, the whole Digi/Neo Dub movement and Trip Hop of the mid to late 90’s. It’s an invitation to the ghost from the past to a ritual dance with the spirits of today.

Our first taste from the record comes in form of “Twisted Roots”. Blast it below.

The “Self Hypnosis” LP arrives on January 8th via Permanent Vacation.
