Next month, German veteran and Pampa label boss Stefan Kozalla, aka DJ Koze, will drop his new DJ-Kicks compilation, which marks the 50th release in !K7’s longstanding mix series. His installment features breezy and soulful tunes from Freddie Gibbs & Madlib, Broadcast, Frank & Tony, Marcel Fengler, The 2 Bears, Session Victim and Star Trek actor William Shatner. It also includes a new original track from DJ Koze himself in the form of “I Have Not Been Everywhere But It’s On My List”, which also opens the mix. With its soul samples, sweet guitar riffs, and laid-back vibes, the hip hop cut finds the producer setting a luxurious tone for the 70 minute mix. Give it a spin above.
