Alan Dixon: “Edge of Forever (Prins Thomas Diskomiks feat. Bugge Wesseltoft)”

This epic remix is a ray of light in these dark and strange times.

Following his killer piano-heavy EP “Piano Drop” on Gerd Janson’s Running Back, London-based DJ and producer Alan Dixon continues his fine run of form with his first offering for Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant. Entitled “Edge of Forever”, the record finds the prolific producer delivering two great original tracks “Edge of Forever” and “Mr. Sparks” that captures the pent up energy and frustration of the weirdest year we’ve ever had in our lifetimes.

The EP comes loaded with a top-notch “Diskomiks” of the title track by Norwegian don Prins Thomas and fellow countrymen and jazz virtuoso Bugge Wesseltoft. The pair, who have previously graced us with their 2018 self-titled collaborative album, transform the original track into a nearly 11-minute jazz-infused, space-disco ride. This epic remix is a ray of light in these dark and strange times.

The “Edge of Forever” EP is out now via Correspondant. Get it here.
