Back in February, Sydney’s Tear Council dropped their superb debut single “Anywhere”, a synth-driven ’80s throwback tune that has been on repeat on our car stereo. Now, the duo of Van She’s Matt Van Schie, who also operates as one half of Du Tonc and Michael Di Francesco, aka Touch Sensitive, takes us for a ride with their second single of the year, “My Car”, and it’s every bit as good as you’d expect from Tear Council, an outlet for Matt’s “more emotional outpourings.” Enjoy the ride. Update: Below, you can watch the video for “My Car” that pays homage to vintage cars and is a compilation of clips from iconic films such as “Bullitt”, “Vanishing Point”, and “Repo Man”.
The single “My Car” arrives on May 29th via Personal Best Records. Pre-order here.
