Garzen Records, the Tel Aviv-based label run by Red Axes Family, recently dropped its first release of the year, a great remix pack of three remixes for three different moments on the dance floor by the likes of BEATFOOT & Red Axes, Simple Symmetry and Uriah Klapter. Here, we have Simple Symmetry’s killer remix of Balagan’s “Moonlight”, taken from the band’s 2017 debut EP “A Mess”. Once again, the Moscow brotherly duo of Sasha and Sergey Lipsky have done an excellent job with their remix of “Moonlight”, turning it into a big dance floor filler that has been on repeat on our car stereo for a while now.

The “Garzen Remixes” EP is out now. Get it here.

Premiere | Iñigo Vontier: “Bo Ni Ke” Video

From the moment of its release back in November, Iñigo Vontier’s superb debut full-length “El Hijo Del Maiz” (“the son of the corn”) for Chloé’s label Lumière Noire has become one of the most gripping albums of the moment. With “El Hijo Del Maiz”, the young Mexican DJ and producer has created an album of demented grooves, psychedelic take-offs, and imaginary comic strips of mystical rituals that scrambles the listener’s five senses.

Today we are delighted to premiere the trippy animated video for the record’s second single “Bo Ni Ke”, a playful tune filled with a Japanese-inflected vocal filter and Moroccan flutes à la Jajouka taking the beats into a crazy trance. The video, which features animation by Torito Studio, was directed by Iñigo Vontier himself. Speaking about the video, he says: “The main idea behind the video was to recreate the early beginnings of animation in the 2000s as a homage to this trance videos. Here we can see me “Iñigo Vontier” having fun in the dessert while playing the Mismar to the rythm of the cobras and ending in a rave inside a Discoteque Pyramid.” Watch it above, exclusively on LAGASTA.

And if that’s not enough Iñigo Vontier goodness for you, make sure to check out a killer remix of “Bo Ni Ke” by Simple Symmetry, the Moscow brotherly duo of Sasha and Sergey Lipsky. The remix is lifted from the recent “El Hijo Del Maiz Remixes” EP, which also features fine remixes by the likes of Nicola Cruz, Roman Flügel, and Iñigo Vontier himself.

Iñigo Vontier’s debut “El Hijo Del Maiz” LP is out now. Pick up your copy here.

The next release on Growing Bin Records comes from Lilipulu, the collaborative project of Moscow’s Sergey Luginin, the mastering engineer of Growing Bin Records, Russian brothers Sergey and Sasha Lipsky, aka Simple Symmetry, and DJ & photographer Ivan Pustovalov. On “Four Amazing Tracks” EP, these close friends have created a quartet of unexpected killers for club cosmonauts, rainforest ravers, anxious insomniacs and giddy punks.

What begin with a plan for some simple edits and a woodland walk quickly became a full scale studio throw down, reimagining forgotten favourites amid a multi-instrumental stew of propulsive polyrhythms, low slung bass, cosmic synths and frazzled guitars. Here, we have one of our favorite cuts from the record “A2”, a finely crafted tune. And it’s bloody amazing!

The “Four Amazing Tracks” EP is out now via Glowing Pin Records. Buy it here.
