Tomasz Guiddo shares a favourite track

A track a day keeps the bad vibes away.

With the current circumstances and the weird, turbulent times all over the globe, we asked our friends to choose a favourite track or an album for these isolated days, and share it with us along with a photo. A track a day keeps the bad vibes away. Stay safe.

Today our beloved multi-talented producer, musician, DJ and Fine Coincidence label co-owner Tomasz Guiddo shares with us one of his favourite tracks “Voices” by France Indo-jazz band Mukta, taken from their 1999 album “Indian Sitar & World Jazz”.

Tomasz Guiddo writes: “‘Voices’ came out in 1999 and I heard it on Jazz Radio Warsaw around that time and recorded it on a tape cassette. It made a huge impression on me back then, the fusion or sounds and styles just blew me away and I was all excited when listening to it again and again. But I couldn’t find out what exactly it was. Last March, 20 years later, being stuck in Warsaw during the first lockdown, I found this old cassette and almost cried listening to it. I finally tracked the original, found it on Discogs and ordered it immediately to experience the full recording in high quality. I now realise how much I have actually learned from this record and how much it still resonates in my mind as a reference to many of my own musical ideas, sometimes even subconsciously.”
