Italians Do It Better introduces Tess Roby, a 23-year-old musician and photographer born in Toronto and now living in Montreal, with her superb first single “Ballad 5”. Produced by Tess Roby herself and mixed by Chromatics mastermind Johnny Jewel, “Ballad 5” is a “song of love and loss in the humid Montreal summer”, according to the label. The track “Ballad 5” is the first taste off her upcoming debut full length LP, which is expected to arrive later this year. Watch the video for the track, which was filmed in Montreal and Los Angeles.
