Sunday Drive #343

Madrid’s Vampisoul label recently dropped a much awaited reissue of the early versions of two of the most celebrated songs by the extraordinary Elia y Elizabeth. It features the original recordings of the songs “Fue Una Lágrima/Cae la Lluvia” as recorded and produced in Spain in 1971 by Juan Carlos Calderón, before the sisters Elia and Elizabeth Fleta would return to their native Colombia where both songs would be later re-recorded with Jimmy Salcedo for Codiscos. Filled with rich and intrincated orchestral arrangements, these two early versions are reissued for the first time on 7″. Get your fill of “Fue Una Lágrima” and ride with us.

The “Fue Una Lágrima/Cae La Lluvia” 7” is out now via Vampisoul.
