Hercules & Love Affair: “I Try To Talk To You” (feat. John Grant)

After releasing the Gustaph-featuring lead single “Do You Feel The Same?” last month, Andy Butler’s New York disco-house project Hercules & Love Affair has shared the gorgeous house track, “I Try To Talk To You”, the second single from their upcoming third LP “The Feast Of The Broken Heart”, which will arrive on May 26 via Moshi Moshi. “I Try To Talk To You”, featuring the wonderful vocals from American singer-songwriter John Grant, is undoubtedly one of the album’s highlights.

“I asked John to dig deep with his lyrical contribution. I had no idea he would dig so deep. He tackled the story of becoming HIV positive, and while I mentioned to him that he did not need to go there if he was not comfortable, in that beautifully punky, spirited and courageous way he has about him, he told me that was what the song was going to be about. What came of it is an elegant song featuring John singing and playing his heart out”, says Andy Butler.

You can also revisit the “Hercules’ Tell All” remix of “I Try To Talk To You”, a seven-plus-minute workout of deep house goodness, which was released all the way back in 2012. The single “I Try To Talk To You” will drop on June 9th.
