Cut Copy presents: Oceans Apart (Documentary Short Film)

To accompany the release of their excellent 19-track “Oceans Apart” compilation, their tribute to the Melbourne dance scene, Cut Copy have dropped this cool 12-minute documentary, featuring some of the artists from the compilation. This short documentary explores “the backgrounds, lives and thoughts of some of the unique artists involved, in the hope of painting a broader picture of what Melbourne’s current scene is about,” explains Cut Copy’s frontman Dan Whitford. Watch it above, and make sure to check out another track from the compilation called “Brenda” by Ara Koufax, the new project from Sam Gill and Luke Neher (of Naysayer & Gilsun fame).

Directed by Thomas Pollard.

The “Oceans Apart” compilation is out now digitally via Cut Copy’s own label Cutters Records. Two limited-edition vinyl samplers from “Oceans Apart” are also available for purchase here.
