A Track A Day: Bondax

A Track A Day: Bondax

For LAGASTA’s ongoing series, we asked our friends to choose a favourite track or an album for these weird times, and share it with us along with a photo. A track a day keeps the bad vibes away. Today we welcome our beloved Lancashire-born duo Bondax, consisting of musicians Adam Kaye and George Townsend, who always deliver the goods. To celebrate the release of their superb new track “Fade”, featuring the vocals from SHELLS, on Future Disco, the prolific duo share with us one of their favourite tunes, Metro Area’s “Caught Up” off their classic 2002 self-titled debut LP.

In their own words: “‘Caught Up’ is a track that captures the essence of why we love electronic music. The simplistic rhythm slowly evolves into a swirling piece that could make us up beat on the worst day. The album has obviously been recognised retrospectively as a classic & to this day has aged incredibly well. From Kelly Polars strings to the bass synth & smooth chord progression this is a track that could fit perfectly into any set since it’s creation. Metro area has had a clear influence on our music & will always hold a place in our hearts.”
