Spanish house producer and frequent John Talabot collaborator Pional has made an edit of London’s producer Jamie xx track “Stranger In A Room”, featuring vocals from his fellow The xx bandmate Oliver Sim, one of his favorite songs of the year so far. Great news! London producer Jamie xx has shared the video for his brilliant new single “Loud Places”, featuring his fellow The xx bandmate Romy Madley Croft, and we’re so excited. The track, which uses a sample of Idris Muhammad’s 1977 disco classic “Could Heaven Ever Be Like This”, is taken from his upcoming debut solo album, called “In Colour”, set to drop on June 1 via Young Turks. The 11-track record also features collaborations with the xx’s Oliver Sim, Four Tet, Young Thug, and Popcaan.

“We grew up skateboarding together, when I was thinking of what the video for ‘Loud Places’ should be, I kept coming back to the idea of Romy and I skating in London, visiting the places we used to go to. It’s a part of our friendship not many people really know about and it’s something I wanted to share,” says Jamie xx.

You can pre-order the album here.

Start your week off right with London’s producer Jamie xx new single “All Under One Roof Raving”, which samples Mark Leckey’s 1999 short film, “Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore”, and offers plenty of his signature steel drums. “I made this track in order to play out back home as I knew the year to come would be spent largely in the UK, DJing and making my own album. It serves as a reminder, not to take any time for granted at home or away,” he says.

The single “All Under One Roof Raving”, which follows his recent double A-side 12″ “Girl” b/w “Sleep Sound”, is out now via Young Turks. Get it here. The mastermind of The xx is currently working on his upcoming solo album, which is expected sometime later this year.
