New York-based DJ/producer/vocalist Kim Ann Foxman debut solo single “Creature”, a collaborative track with former Hercules & Love Affair bandmate Andy Butler, finally gets a proper vinyl release. Originally released in 2010 on Butler’s own Mr. INTL label, Foxman describes “Creature” as a “jam that I hold very close to my heart. It’s never been available on wax vinyl before so I’m really excited that I’ll finally be able to have it in my hands.”
The release comes complete with four new remixes of “Creature” by fellow New Yorkers A/Jus/Ted, the electro-dance duo of Justin Strauss and Teddy Stuart, Italian disco producer and DJ Nick Simoncino, and Kim Ann herself. Here, we have A/Jus/Ted’s eight-plus-minute vocal mix of the track for your listening pleasure. And it’s a great one. Blast it above.
Kim Ann Foxman’s “Creature – Remixes” is out now on her label Firehouse Recordings in collaboration with The Vinyl Factory. Buy it here.

Former Hercules & Love Affair member Kim Ann Foxman recently launched her own record label Firehouse in association with London-based The Vinyl Factory, inspired by her New York residence. The label’s first release comes in the form of a two-track single, “Firehouse 001”, from Kim Ann Foxman herself.
Here’s the record’s a-side cut, the hypnotic house jam “It’s All About You”, for your listening pleasure. Give it a spin above. In her own words: “Firehouse will be super-dynamic, gorgeous and weird. I want to represent New York, represent its flavour and be a part of the music history that it is so abundant here. I will embrace music that I feel. It’s gotta have vibes! It’s gotta have passion, it’s gotta have heart.”
“Firehouse 001” will arrive on November 24th. Pre-order it here.
