Hercules & Love Affair – My House

New line-up, new label, new track! ‘My House’, featuring Shaun Wright on vocals, is the first taste from Hercules & Love Affair forthcoming album, ‘Blue Songs’. The follow-up their self-titled 2008 debut album is out on January 31 on Moshi Moshi. Also, Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke sings on the track ‘Step Up’.

New love affair: After the killer single ‘And I’m (So In Love With You)’, here is the new release on Andy Butler’s new house label Mr. Intl. This time is a collaboration between Andy Butler and his Hercules & Love Affair bandmate Kim Ann Foxman. Together will release the tracks ‘Creature’ and ‘What You Need’ as Mr.Intl. The EP, backed with remixes from Faze Action and James Curd, is coming out on November 1 on Beatport. You can stream the full release below:

Andy Butler Launches New Label

“I don’t want anything that sounds pre ’85 or post ’94″. Andy Butler, the mastermind behind Hercules & Love Affair has launched a new record label. It’s called Mr.Intl and draws inspiration from the early days of house and techno. The label’s first single, ‘And I’m (So In Love With You)’, is a collaboration between Butler and SF-via-Detroit house DJ Jason Kendig and it was recorded on 1992-vintage equipment. ‘That’s cool but can you make it more sh*t’

LCD Soundsystem and DFA retrospective exhibition launch at Tom Dunne Gallery in Darlinghurst. Titled ‘That’s Cool But Can You Make It More Sh*t?’, the show is a large collection of record sleeves, flyers, posters, doodles and polaroids. The exhibition will travel on to New York and London.
