Scarlet Fantastic: “No Memory ’14” Remixes EP

There’s no better way to kick off the week than with a nostalgic, synth-pop ride all the way back in the late ’80s. This week in 1987, British glam-pop duo Scarlet Fantastic entered the UK charts with their single “No Memory” that quickly became an anthem for Andrew Weatherall at Boy’s Own legendary acid house parties. Now, twenty-seven years later, Jerry Bouthier’s label Continental Records is revisiting that long-forgotten ’80s hit by releasing not one, but two strong remix packages that bring back so many good memories.

Today, we’re delighted to premiere the first remix package of Scarlet Fantastic’s “No Memory”, which features fresh interpretations from the likes of Australian disco producer Luke Million (of The Swiss fame), hot new London duo Monday Club, and Freegard & Freegard. Once again, our beloved Luke Million delivers a superb version of “No Memory” in his signature style, replete with some deliciously retro synths, while Monday Club take the cult classic into late-night house territory with their finely crafted remix. The EP also includes an acoustic rain version of “No Memory” by Mighty K, the project of Maggie K de Monde with Mark Leaf. Stream the whole thing above and grab a free download of Luke Million remix below, exclusively on La.Ga.Sta. Enjoy the ride.
