Greek producer/DJ NTEIBINT, known to his friends and family as George Bakalakos, returns to Eskimo Recordings with yet another fine release. His new offering, a two-track EP called “By Your Side”, is brimming with the irresistible grooves and good-time feel that we’ve come to expect from the talented producer.
The record’s mellow title track, a “groovy love song, with sad moments”, finds him teaming up with Brooklyn’s Rush Midnight, the solo project from former Twin Shadow bassist Russ Manning. The second track “A Baby For My Bass” is a “hidden gem”, as he describes it, build upon a spiral of synths lines with a simple vocal hook. Just perfect.
