Italian duo Marvin & Guy are having quite a year. After dropping a solid EP called “Dance Abilities” on Young Adults back in February, they recently released their debut EP for John Talabot’s Hivern Discs imprint. Entitled “Egoísta”, the offering finds the duo expanding their palette with three original tracks that push the boundaries between the disco culture and a techno spirit. Our favorite cut from that release is the EPs title track, a “highly hypnotic joint driven by a warm analogue bassline and a spacey pad.” A killer tune that has been on repeat on our car stereo for a while now. We’d expect nothing less from Marvin & Guy.
