The wait is finally over! Three years after the release of his excellent debut album “By Your Side”, French maestro and Ed Banger affiliate Breakbot is back for more funky goodness. His long-awaited sophomore album, entitled “Still Waters”, will arrive early next year on Ed Banger Records, but in the meantime, we’re treated to the record’s first track “Back For More”, which finds him teaming up once again with longtime collaborator Irfane. True to form, Breakbot brings the funk back to your stereo. As he says: “The inspirations of this new album swing between Californian music from the ’70s and ’80s and disco-funk – from Curtis Mayfield to Prince and Michael Jackson.” Welcome back, Breakbot.
