Cliché Records has just launched a new project called “Homesick”, a vinyl-only series of edits. The idea behind the series is to “re-edit and rework songs from the past into something which is timeless; tracks which feel fresh but retain their memories.”

The first 12″ from the series will appear next month with three dancefloor-friendly disco reworks from Swedish duo Drop Out Orchestra, Aussie edit maestro Late Nite Tuff Guy, Parisian producer Zimmer, and Taiwan-based newcomer Amadei. That’s surely a great start for the “Homesick” series.

Preview the whole thing above, and make sure to download a short version of Amadei and Zimmer’s superb edit of France Gall’s 1987 classic “Ella Elle L’a”, which clocks in at seven minutes. What’s not to love?
