Next month, our beloved Greek producer/DJ George Bakalakos, aka NTEIBINT, will drop his new single “The Owner” on Eskimo Recordings, a “feel-good love song” featuring smooth vocals from frequent collaborator Σtella. Before its release on June 15th, NTEIBINT is offering up a free download of his sun-soaked disco rework of “Fooling Around” by Dutch musician Spike Wolters. And it’s yet another perfect example of NTEIBINT doing what he does best. The original version can be found on “Orange Cloud Nine”, a retrospective of Wolters’ work which draws from four albums he self-released in the mid ’80s, released back in 2013 on Golf Channel. Grab the edit for free below, and ride into summer.

In related news, NTEIBINT’s recent single “Riptide”, featuring Birsen, is included on Eskimo’s superb new compilation “The Orange Collection”, the fourth installment of the label’s ongoing series based around colours. Buy it here.

Our “An Edit To Remember” series continues with a great rework from Spanish house wiz and Hivern Discs boss John Talabot. Let’s take a ride with his “dusty” edit of Cecil “Maestro” Hume’s 1976 track “Dread Man”. As he says: “When I’m on tour travelling I like to do edits. While waiting in airports, cars, vans, trains, customs, hotels, soundchecks I do them. This is one of my favourites.”

Berlin-based, Venezuelan producer, DJ and avid record collector Andrés Astorga, better known under his Trujillo moniker, has returned with his superb new “Rad N’ B EP” for Yam Who’s Midnight Riot label, which collects four R&B-flavored disco edits. Our favorite cut from that record is “Für Hildegard Von Disco”, a brilliant sun-drenched rework of Devendra Banhart’s “Für Hildegard Von Bingen” with some serious Balearic vibes. Give this edit a few spins above, and drive slow. Also, Trujillo recently dropped a fine collection of remixes of tracks from his 2011 debut album “Daltonic Now”, including reworks from Daniel Avery, Rory Phillips, Eddie C, Toby Tobias and The C90s. You can stream the whole thing here.

Trujillo’s “Rad N’ B EP” is out now digitally via Midnight Riot. Get it here.
