Last year, the mighty Italian-Belgian producer Vito De Luca, aka Aeroplane, unveiled his new Flush moniker in order to drop all edits and reworks. His first Flush release, the infectious tune “Come Back Baby” on Strictly Rhythm, soundtracked many of our car rides last summer. Now, Vito De Luca returns as Flush with this superb dancefloor-friendly rework of Timmy Thomas’ 1972 soul hit “Why Can’t We Live Together”, which is actually the first track he ever sampled when he was 15 years old. This Saturday’s An Edit To Remember comes from mysterious producer Maximilian Blanc, a “French playboy” with a penchant for obscure cosmic disco. Let’s take a ride with his superb edit “Blackpool Stardance”, a string-laden disco affair. This rework appear on Maximillian Blanc’s “Tropical Edits” EP of four fine reworks, released last summer on KAT Records. Brooklyn-based duo Vito & Druzzi, consisting of The Rapture’s Vito Roccoforte and Gabriel “Druzzi” Andruzzi, recently wowed us with their floor-ready house jam “It’s EZ”, featuring veteran vocalist Xavier. While this incredible tune is still on repeat mode on our car stereo, Vito Roccoforte has teamed up once again with NYC-based singer to deliver something special: a sublime edit of Daryl Hall & John Oates’ 1981 classic “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)” with Xavier singing along the original track. This dreamy, Balearic dub version of “I Can’t Go For That” has already been receiving well-deserved praise from DJs, and now it’s yours for free exclusively on La.Ga.Sta. Tonight’s the night that our all-time favorite UK cosmic-disco specialists and avid vinyl collectors Psychemagik are paying at our event at Cantina Tropicana in Thessaloniki, Greece. Warming up the crowd, Australian producer Tim Sullivan, aka This Soft Machine.

Since Psychemagik are masters of disco edits, dropping numerous of quality reworks over the past few years, it’s quite hard to choose a favorite. But, here are three of their finest edits; Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams”, Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes’ “Wake Up Everybody” and Talking Heads’ “This Must Be The Place”, all classy and timeless.
