Caribou’s Dan Snaith just dropped a new limited vinyl 12″ under the alias Daphni through his new Jiaolong label. It features two brand new tracks, “Yes I Know”, a favourite from his early 2011 Resident Advisor mix, and “Jiao”, and a remix of Cos Ber Zam’s “Ne Noya” from the “Afro Beat Airways” compilation. “Yes, I Know” is definitely the highlight of the release. Stream: Virgo Four: “It’s A Crime” [Caribou Remix]
This rules. Caribou turns Virgo Four’s track “It’s A Crime” into an eight minute epic dancefloor banger. “It’s A Crime” was released last year on “Resurrection” album, a five-piece box set of unreleased material the legendary Chicago house duo produced between 1984 and 1990. The single is out now on Rush Hour, backed also with a remix from Berlin’s Hunee.
