Curses:
“Puttanesca”

“They say an end can be a start” is what best describes today’s magnifique premiere. We welcome Motordiscs, a various artists record series created by Daniel Weil, the man behind former Parisian club Garage; the club was shut down on summer 2018. It was alive and lively for two years in the French capital, putting artists together and promoting an independent and alternative approach to electronic music parties. Motordiscs is its continuity, carrying Garage’s spirit and energy within it, and offering what the club used to offer; great vibes and great collectives.

The “Motordisc 1” EP is on its way and we are so excited to premiere A-side’s first track “Puttanesca” by New Yorker/Berlin based artist Curses, who is known for blending Rock & Roll with the darker side of Disco, incorporating his ghostly vocals and guitar with flashes of EBM, New Wave, Post-punk, and psychedelic synth vibes.

The seven-minute track “Puttanesca” is all about it. It’s the track you feel the need to know what it is and who is responsible for this bouquet of surprises. A fantastic multi-dimensional tune with a steady beat, a melancholic and capturing guitar riff and as it develops the arpeggiator synth effects turn this ride into a melodic trip.

The “Motordisc 1” EP will drop on both digital and vinyl formats on September 6th. It also features tracks from the likes of Kasper Bjørke, Khidja and Zombies in Miami.
