Cut Copy: “Airborne”

July 6th, 2017

They’re back! Melbourne’s finest dance-pop band Cut Copy make a welcome return with their funkly new single “Airborne”, which marks their first original materisn in four years since 2013’s LP “Free Your Mind”. Equal parts guitar jangle, celestial synths and bottom-heavy bassline, the infectious track shifts gears multiple times, balancing images of chaos (“jagged teeth made of glass, rising up”) with the resolute chorus: “That don’t stop me.” Produced by Ben Allen, “Airborne” offers an early glimpse of the new material the Aussie band has been recording in studios around the world. Blast it above.

The single “Airborne” is out now on Astralwerks. Get it here.
