Woolfy Vs. Projections: “Jackie”

Woolfy Vs. Projections: “Jackie”

The last time we heard from Woolfy Vs. Projections, they graced us with a sublime cover of The Smiths’ “Ask” as part of our “Late Summer Compilation Vol. 4”. Now, the duo of California-based musicians Simon “Woolfy” James and Dan Hastie, are finally gearing up to release their third album “Stations” this summer. The “Stations” LP completes the trilogy, which started with the two previous concept albums, 2008’s “The Astral Projections Of Starlight” and 2012’s “The Return Of Love”, all loosely based on the adventures of the lost astronaut Captain Starlight, a character taken from Zazu’s Balearic rock classic.

Described as “a psychedelic folk album through modern day disco aesthetic”, the record features ten new tracks, plus a careful reconstruction of “Who”, a 1974 Balearic classic by Odyssey. Today, we’re treated to a steam of the album’s lead single “Jackie”, featuring Michaela
, a beauty of a tune that finds Woolfy Vs. Projections doing what they do best.

Woolfy Vs. Projections’ album “Stations” will arrive on August 21 via Permanent Vacation.
