As you may already know Eric Berglund has released his brilliant solo album, ‘White Magic’, as Ceo. In the meantime, the other half of Swedish duo The Tough Alliance, Henning Fürst, continues making remixes. Few weeks ago we posted his remix of Canada’s Young Galaxy ‘Queen Drum’ and here’s his new remix for Yeasayer’s latest single ‘Madder Red’. Simply beautiful…

Κοιμόμαστε με τα φώτα ανοιχτά. Eίμαστε πιο πολύχρωμοι κι απο τα Cockatoos. Κυνηγάμε γορίλες σε πλαστικές παραλίες. Δεν αλλάζουμε το σαράβαλο μας με καμία Ford Mustang κι ας έχει καμμένα ηχεία. Ο,τι είναι Ga Ga, το κάνουμε Da Da. Λέμε yeasayer σε κορίτσια-starry eyed και σε αγόρια-handle with care. Tρώμε ό,τι βρούμε. Δεν χορεύουμε ό,τι να’ ναι. Χτυπάμε στο μπλέντερ mp3 και βγαίνει σούπα-torrent. Καπνίζουμε tensnake. Κάνουμε παρέα με hidden cat. Μπορούμε να ανακαλύψουμε πετράλαιο, ακόμη και ναυάγια άμα λάχει. Και στο τέλος, κλαίμε από τα γέλια. Δεν αστειευόμαστε καθόλου. Μας το ‘χουν κάψει!

O.N.E.

Το One δεν έχει καμία απολύτως σχέση με το Two του προηγούμενου post. Έτσι για να εξηγούμαστε. Έρχεται μέσα από το δεύτερο σούπερ album των Yeasayer (μάθε, επιτέλους, να προφέρεις σωστά το όνομα τους), το οποίο έχουμε στο repeat τελευταία μαζί με τα νέα album των Hot Chip, Four Tet, Delphic, Pantha du Prince, Chew Lips και…Goldfrapp (oops, είπαμε κάτι που δεν έπρεπε;). Anyway, το “Ο.Ν.Ε.” είναι το αγαπημένο μας track από το “Odd Blood” (ακόμα προσπαθείς να βρεις τις σωστές λέξεις για να περιγράψεις τον ήχο τους) που θα σπείρει τον πανικό στα καλοκαιρινά Φεστιβάλ. Αν δεν ήταν τόσο καλό, ούτε οι ίδιοι οι Yeasayer θα το ονόμαζαν One, ούτε ο Γερμανός MMMathias θα το έβαζε στο μίξερ πριν την ώρα του! Αρκετά τυλίχτηκες στην καρό κουβέρτα σου, χόρεψε λιγάκι μπας και ζεσταθεί το κωλαράκι σου…

Brooklyn’s Yeasayer have a new album. The follow-up to 2007′s “All Hour Cymbals” is called “Odd Blood”, and it will be released on February 19th, 2010 on Secretly Canadian. However, you won’t have to wait that long to have a first listen to the band’s new material. “Ambling Alp,” the first single off the record is available for free download today at Yeasayer’s website
