New York’s cosmic-disco collective The Phenomenal Handclap Band just unveiled the retro-futuristic video for their new single “The Right One”, off their second album, “Form And Control”, which drops on February 14th via Tummy Touch Records. In case you missed it, check out the band’s brilliant cover of Skatt Bros’ 1979 classic “Walk The Night”, featuring Peaches on vocals here.

A few days ago we shared with you Moullinex’s cover of “Maniac”, featuring Peaches on vocals and now you can stream The Phenomenal Handclap Band’s version of Skatt Bros’ 1979 classic “Walk The Night”. In related news, The Phenomenal Handclap Band will drop their second album “Form and Control” on February 13th via for Tummy Touch Records – an “ambitious work which takes their clever fusion of international psych, soul, and cosmic disco a bold step forward”.
Here’s the video for Moullinex’s fantastic cover of Michael Sembello’s “Maniac” (from the soundtrack of the movie “Flashdance”), which features Peaches on vocals. Taken from the new “Casablanca Reworks” EP, due January 13th on Gomma. For this project The Gomma All Stars (Moullinex, Telonius, Munk, and The Phenomenal Handclap Band) teamed up with Peaches and did four cover versions of songs from the catalogue of legendary Disco label Casablanca Records. Telonius took care of Donna Summer’s “Our Love”, The Phenomenal Handclap Band made a great cover of the classic “Walk The Night”, originally by the Skatt Brothers, and Stephanie Mills’ “You Can’t Run From My Love“ received a treatment by Munk.
