He’s back! Sébastien Tellier returns with his surprise-album “Confection” on Record Makers, which follows last year’s “My God Is Blue”. Today, we’re treated to a video for the album’s superb first single “L’amour naissant”, starring Anna Mouglalis and Clément Chabernaud.
The label describes his new album as a “love letter for a film that doesn’t exist yet.” Apart from one song, “Confection” is an entirely instrumental piece that Sébastien conceived like a motion picture score. Several romantic musical themes are showcased in different versions, orchestral or acoustic.
Directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino.
Sébastien Tellier’s “Confection” arrives on October 14th in France and November 8th worldwide via Records Makers. “L’amour naissant” is out now. Buy it here.

Once more during this year we have been sharing with you tons of free music, and today we’re really excited to reveal La.Ga.Sta.’s Top 40 most downloaded tracks of 2012. This is a chart compiled by our readers, who by the way have great taste. We couldn’t agree more. Breakbot’s “Programme” is top of the list, followed closely by Perseus’ “Seychelles” and Chromatics’ “Kill For Love”. Of course there is more to this list. Who can drive passed beloved artists such as Todd Terje, John Talabot, Poolside, The Magician, Classixx, Moon Boots, among others, or tracks like Slow Hands’ cover of Bon Iver’s “Towers” and Pional’s remix of The Rapture’s “In The Grace Of Your Love”.
It’s been an amazing year vroomers, and this is the list that proves it. Here’s your chance to revisit 2012′s most popular mpFrees. Fill it up (once again) and stay gas all the way to 2013. Enjoy!

As you may already know, we’re big fans of Tokyo-based producer and DJ Das Moth, aka Timothy Sullivan, here at La.Ga.Sta. We’ve already featured his superb remix of Sébastien Tellier’s “Cochon Ville”, and now we’re pleased to share with you this rework for free download. It still sounds so good.
Grab it below while it’s hot. Christmas came early this year. This remix was a bonus track on the Japanese edition of Sébastien Tellier’s album “My God Is Blue”, which was released via Plus Vague. Pick up your copy here.

Belgian producer Mickey has been hard at work recently. Fresh off the release of his rework of Earth And Fire’s 1979 classic “Weekend” for Smile Recordings, Mickey stops again at our station with yet another sublime remix. This time he adds his signature style to Sébastien Tellier’s “Sedulous”. We were jamming this remix all weekend long.
Sébastien Tellier’s new single “Sedulous” is “the protective mother” of his acclaimed “My God Is Blue” album on Record Makers. The remix EP, which also features reworks by NYC’s Luca Venezia, aka Drop The Lime, and French youngsters Equateur, is out now available exclusively on Beatport. Get it here.
