Continuous quality from Fort Romeau and Ali Tillett’s ever-growing Cin Cin imprint. The label’s first release of 2017 is a new split 12″ between Dublin’s musician/producer David Kitt, aka New Jackson, and new kid on the bloc Manchester’s Elliott Lion. Following a string of excellent releases on Hivern Discs and Permanent Vacation, New Jackson delivers two brilliantly crafted deep tracks that finds him operating in top form. Here’s the record’s A-side cut, the 10-minute “Electric Blue”, a reimagining of David Bowie’s “Sound And Vision”.
The “New Jackson/Elliot Lion” 12” arrives on February 10th on Cin Cin. Pre-order it here.

DFA stalwart Shit Robot, aka Dublin native Marcus Lambkin, returns with a new remix EP of his track “Is There No End”, featuring vocals from Jayson Green, former lead singer of punk bands Orchid & Panthers. Here, we have a gorgeous interpretation of the track from fellow Irish producer David Kitt, aka New Jackson, who transforms the original track into an eight-minute slow motion disco ride. Blast it above.
The track “Is There No End” is lifted from “What Follows”, Shit Robot’s most recent full-length LP on DFA Records, which was released back in May. The “Is There No End” EP, which also includes a remix by Khotin, drops on November 11th. Pre-order it here.
After last year’s gorgeous Balearic-tinged house track “Having A Coke With You” on Permanent Vacation and his recent collaboration with London producer Fort Romeau on “Not A Word”, Dublin producer David Kitt, aka New Jackson, returns to Major Problems label with a new three-track 12” called “Metroflex”. The record’s a-side cut “Talkin’ To You” finds New Jackson in fine form, delivering a low-swung house groover for your late-night rides. London’s Fort Romeau latest single “Not A Word”, a collaborative tune with Irish producer David Kitt, aka New Jackson, gets the kaleidoscopic visual treatment from acclaimed visual artist Jack Featherstone. “The intention of the video was to reflect both the textural qualities along with its rolling momentum,” says the director. “Not A Word” is taken from Fort Romeau’s sophomore album “Insides”, set to drop on March 31 via Ghostly International. Pre-order it here.

We’ve already heard “Insides”, the slow-burning title track from Fort Romeau’s forthcoming sophomore LP for Ghostly, and now the prolific London producer has shared another quality track from that album, “Not A Word”. This vocoder-heavy tune finds Fort Romeau teaming up with Irish musician/producer David Kitt, aka New Jackson, who you may remember him from his top-notch releases on John Talabot’s label Hivern Discs and Permanent Vacation. Blast it above.
Fort Romeau’s new album “Insides” lands on March 31 via Ghostly International.

Having impressed with a string of quality releases, not to mention his superb 2012 debut LP “Kingdoms” on 100% Silk, UK producer Mike Greene, aka Fort Romeau, is back with a new album called “Insides”, which will drop on March 31 via Ghostly International. “Playing in those clubs definitely had an affect on how I approach composition and pacing. I want to allow things to breathe and develop gradually over longer track lengths, rather than cram everything into four or five minutes,” says Fort Romeau.
Our first taste of “Insides” is the slow-burning title track, a perfect example of Fort Romeau doing what he does best. The 8-track album, which also features a collaboration with Irish musician/producer David Kitt, aka New Jackson, is now available for pre-order.
