A few days ago, Sydney-based producer Lance Gurisik, better known as Lancelot, has finally released his second EP “You’ll Never Be Mine”. And it’s a great one. Taking inspiration from one of his favourite bands, the legendary SOS Band, Lancelot offers us two dancefloor-ready house cuts and hits all the right spots.
The title track cleverly uses a sample of SOS Band’s 1983 hit single “Just Be Good To Me”, while the b-side of the EP, “The Way I Feel About You”, contains vocal samples from “The Finest” by the same band. As Lancelot says: “I think a lot of house and disco producers today are looking back in time to find inspiration, when the groove drove a song – humans with instruments drove the song. Not white-noise and a laptop accompanied by two Co2 cannons. Music with soul, music with honesty. Music that invites you in and holds on forever.”
You can now download both tracks for free below. Fill it up!

The next release on Jerry Bouthier’s Continental Records comes from Japanese duo Kill The Hero. For this release the Osaka’s famed dj Taku Hero and Kila have teamed up with Maggie K de Monde of ’80s pop band Scarlet Fantastic, to create an infectious track, called “Surrender”. The EP comes with a strong remix package, featuring reworks by the likes of Reflex, Shazam, Mannequine, Tulip, Lancelot, and Note Factory. The real killer is Shazam’s remix of the track, which is already included in The Magician’s latest Magic Tape 25. The “Surrender” EP drops digitally on September 24th. Preview the whole thing here, and check out the original version below. As a bonus, you can download the Mannequine remix for free here. Enjoy.
