London-based producer/musician Kelly Lee Owens has shared a beautifully shot video for her new single “On”, from her forthcoming album “Inner Song”. The track “On” is a rustling electro-pop glimmer that gives way to yo-yo synths and a tough-as-nails techno backbeat. It’s the alpha and omega of the Kelly Lee Owens experience, reflective of her ability to contain sonic and emotional multitudes within just one song. Shot on the Norwegian coastline, its accompanying video sees Kelly collaborating once again with Kasper Häggström, who also directed her “Throwing Lines” video. Like the song, it tells the story of a breakup.

The album “Inner Song” arrives on August 28th via Smalltown Supersound. Pre-order it here.

London-based producer/musician Kelly Lee Owens returns with her second album “Inner Song”, which follows the 2017 release of her much lauded self-titled debut. The new 10-track record, written and recorded with frequent collaborator James Greenwood, aka Ghost Culture, finds Owens diving deep into her own psyche—working through the struggles she’s faced over the last several years and exploring personal pain while embracing the beauty of the natural world.

The accompanying video for the album’s lead single ‘Melt!’ is directed by filmmaker Laneya Billingsley, aka Billie0cean, and creates a connection between our bodies and the earth, showing how the two are not separate. Watch it above.

The “Inner Song” arrives on May 1st via Smalltown Supersound. Pre-order it here.

London-based producer Kelly Lee Owens has shared a new video for “Throwing Lines”, one of the standout cuts off her recent self-titled, debut album. As Kelly describes it, “This is one of the poppiest tracks on my record and it could have had a showy video to match, but it feels good to take the piss instead – out of myself and that world.” Kelly Lee Owens’ debut album is out now on Smalltown Supersound. After dropping her “Oleic” EP, released this past fall, London-based producer and singer Kelly Lee Owens is back with her new single “Anxi”, featuring Jenny Hval. The track is the lead single from Owens self-titled debut album that is slated for release on March 24th via Smalltown Supersound. Accoding to the label, the 10-track LP bridges the gaps between cavernous techno, spectral pop, and Krautrock’s mechanical pulse. It also includes contribution from Daniel Avery. “It has been my most freeing and open collaboration so far, and my first time working with a female,” Owens says of working with Hval.

London-based singer Kelly Lee Owens may not be a name that sounds familiar to many of you, but we have a pretty strong intuition that’s about to change. She has already contributed vocals to three songs on Daniel Avery’s excellent debut album “Drone Logic”, used to play bass for UK indie pop outfit The History of Apple Pie, and now Kelly Lee Owens dropped her debut solo track, the wonderfully ethereal “Lucid”, which was co-produced with Phantasy Sound’s Ghost Culture. It’s certainly a promising start for the talented singer. Give “Lucid” a spin above and drive slow.
