Cut Copy’s bassist Ben Browning dropped today his solo single “I Can’t Stay” on Cutters Records. A catchy, summery tune, which “opens with an almost calypso guitar lead, before opening up into bouncing bass driven club-pop”. The single comes with two energetic remixes by Cutters’ own Knightlife and DFA’s Juan Maclean. “I Can’t Stay” is the first taste from Browning’s forthcoming EP, expected to be released early next year. Fill it up!

Holy Ghost!: “I Wanted To Tell Her” [mp3]

Here it is. The new single from our favorite duo Holy Ghost! Originally written and preformed in 1983 by industrial metal band Ministry (during their early synthpop days), “I Wanted To Tell Her” is a high energy dance cover featuring none other than Nancy Whang (of LCD Soundsystem) and Juan Maclean. The single is now available as a free download via Green Label Sound. The video, based on the 80′s BMX movie “Rad”, will be released within the next few weeks.

We’ve been waiting almost a year for this fiery banger to be released. Midnight Magic will finally drop their new single “Drop Me A Line” on Permanent Vacation. The follow-up single to last year’s massive hit “Beam Me Up” will be released on September 30th with remixes by the likes of Holy Ghost!, Juan MacLean, Steffi and Mano Le Tough. Here’s the original version for your listening pleasure. An instant classic.

Great news! Finally, New York disco duo Holy Ghost! will release their debut ‘Static On The Wire’ EP on May 18th via DFA. The EP contains four songs ‘Static On The Wire’, ‘Say My Name’ (which was also featured on the latest Kitsune Maison Compilation 9), ‘I Will Come Back’ and ‘I Know, I Hear’ and the artwork is inspired by Barbara Kruger. The title track features Chris Glover aka Penguin Prison on backup vocals and Juan Maclean delivers the guitar solo. Love it. Fill it up!
