After sharing news of his forthcoming self-titled debut album last month, rising London producer Ghost Culture, known to his friends and family as James Greenwood, returns to our ears with his new single “Answer”, and it’s a great one. “Answer” will appear on Ghost Culture’s debut LP, a “collection of ten tracks rich in emotion, musicality and sonic artistry”, which was mixed and co-produced by Erol Alkan. “I have always had an itch that needed scratching. Music that needed rather than wanted to come out. I find myself within myself, words rhythm and melody that urges to take up the form of a recording and become something tangible,” says Ghost Culture.

Ghost Culture’s self-titled debut album will arrive on January 5th on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound imprint. Just in case you missed it, watch the trippy, animated video for his recent single “Arms” here. You can pre-order the album here.

London-based singer Kelly Lee Owens may not be a name that sounds familiar to many of you, but we have a pretty strong intuition that’s about to change. She has already contributed vocals to three songs on Daniel Avery’s excellent debut album “Drone Logic”, used to play bass for UK indie pop outfit The History of Apple Pie, and now Kelly Lee Owens dropped her debut solo track, the wonderfully ethereal “Lucid”, which was co-produced with Phantasy Sound’s Ghost Culture. It’s certainly a promising start for the talented singer. Give “Lucid” a spin above and drive slow.
