Martin Creed, best known for his 2001 Turner Prize winning installation Work No. 227: The Lights Going On and Off, directed this hypnotic video for “Dawning” by Box Codax, the solo project of Franz Ferdinand’s guitarist Nick McCarthy. Martin Creed / Box Codax limited edition 12″ split single, is now available from The Vinyl Factory.

Here’s the video for “Seven Silvers”, the new single from Box Codax – the electro pop solo project of Franz Ferdinand’s guitar player Nick McCarthy. Taken from their album “Hellabuster”, out now on Gomma.

Directed by Jaygo Bloom.

LCD Soundsystem – Live Alone (Franz Ferdinand cover)

Take a listen to LCD Soundsystem’s cover of Franz Ferdinand’s jam “Live Alone”. In 2007, Franz Ferdinand covered “All My Friends” as an exclusive b-side for the single’s release. The track is taken from Franz Ferdinand’s “Covers EP”, out on April 16th for Record Store Day. The EP also features Deborah Harry, Peaches, and The Magnetic Fields’ Stephin Merritt covering selections from the band’s 2009 album “Tonight”.
