‘That’s cool but can you make it more sh*t’
LCD Soundsystem and DFA retrospective exhibition launch at Tom Dunne Gallery in Darlinghurst. Titled ‘That’s Cool But Can You Make It More Sh*t?’, the show is a large collection of record sleeves, flyers, posters, doodles and polaroids. The exhibition will travel on to New York and London. We like Diamond Rings. The Toronto-based artist is back with his latest limited edition 12″ single ‘Show Me Your Stuff’. The single will be released on June 18th via the new label One Big Silence Records, founded by Mike Haliechuk of Fucked Up fame. It’s certainly worth checking out.

Diamond Rings is a creative outlet for Toronto based artist and musician John O’ Regan. After releasing the bedroom pop “All Yr Songs” last year, now he has a new 7” coming out on March 9th via German record label Tomlab. The A-side track “Wait & See” (the B-side is an unlikely cover of Sebodah’s “On Fire”) features distorted guitars and a catchy chorus featuring backing vocals from Toronto based indie-pop star Gentleman Reg. Diamond Rings is currently mixing his debut album, “Special Affections”. Watch the fun video for “Wait & See” and grab “All Yr Songs” below. It’s time for blue eye shadow, 80s pop and black spandex…
