This Saturday we revisit “That’s The Truth”, a deep and essential dancefloor burner of De La Soul’s “All Good”, featuring Chaka Khan, from Oxford’s house duo Casino Times. This rework was included on last year’s excellent EP “Friends Of The Family” on Sccucci Manucci. Still sounds so good. Give it a spin below.

First Serve x Yuksek

Dave Jolicoeur and Kelvin Mercer of De La Soul have started a new project called First Serve. The duo’s album is expected to be released in April, but in the meantime check out Yuksek’s bangin’ remix of the track “Must Be The Music”. Expect more great mixes from him soon.

Dj Nibc – The Doorman (Casino Times Remix)

You may remember this huge remix from The Magician’s magic tape 14 back in August. It was one of the highlights for sure. Finally, Casino Times’ synth-driven nu disco take on Dj Nibc’s “The Doorman”, featuring Anthony Mills, is out now on Trunkfunk Records. But this is not the only release from rising Oxford-based duo of Joe Spencer and Nick Church. They just dropped their debut EP “Laughing Gas”, which proves that these guys can do some excellent work. The truth is we can’t stop listening to their amazing rework of De La Soul’s “All Good”, featuring Chaka Khan, from the EP “Friends Of The Family”, which was recently released on Sccucci Manucci. It’s called “That’s The Truth”. Give it a spin below:
