Berlin-via-New York singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Fox, aka Visuals, first caught our ear in 2013 with his Darkside-produced self-titled debut EP, released via Nicolas Jaar’s Other People imprint. Now, he’s back with a new three-track EP called “The State of Things”, set to arrive on March 25th on the newly revived imprint thesongsays. In the meantime, here’s the record’s title track, which was produced by Darkside’s Dave Harrington and Louis McGuire. It’s truly a thing of beauty. Give it a spin above.

Having previously operated under the moniker Das Moth, the now Germany-based Australian producer/DJ Tim Sullivan returns as This Soft Machine, a “band at heart”, as he says. Next month, This Soft Machine will finally drop his superb debut EP, consisting of two tracks, “On & On” and “This Place Was Meant For Me”, which marks his first release on Eskimo Recordings. Our first taste of that forthcoming EP comes in the form of “On & On”, a perfectly crafted disco-infused tune that showcases his elegant style. On this track, Dan Whitford (of Cut Copy fame) helped with recording the synthesizers, Dave Harrington, one half of Darkside, played the electric guitar, while Lorraine Nicholson contributed vocals. It’s definitely worth a few spins. Blast it above.

This Soft Machine’s “On & On”/”This Place Was Meant For Me” EP will drop on coloured 7″ vinyl and digitally on April 13th via Eskimo Recordings. The track “On & On” will also appear on “The Orange Collection”, the fourth installment of the label’s ongoing compilation series based around colours.
